The Volkswagen Jetta is a trademark for the Volkswagen brand. The Jetta has been a hallmark of the brand and one of the first vehicles that many Volkswagen owners have. So, what are the 2022 Volkswagen Jetta updates? The mid cycle refresh has brought some new updates to the 2022 Jetta. Check out some of the details with Rudolph Volkswagen of El Paso, then come test drive around Las Cruces, NM and Albuquerque, NM.

2022 VW Jetta Changes: Aesthetics

There haven’t been too pronounced aesthetic changes with the 2022 Volkswagen Jetta updates. The bumper and new alloy wheels have some slight changes for all of the trim levels. Overall, the exterior looks pretty similar.

What’s new on the 2022 VW Jetta interior? Well, similar to the outside, there hasn’t been too much of a shift. The SEL and GLI trims have some updated contrast stitching, a fresh instrument cluster, and new steering wheel design. The GLI also has the new touch-sensitive buttons that’s available with other VW vehicles.

2022 VW Jetta Changes: Tech

The S, Sport, and SE models have the older MIB 2 infotainment system, while the SEL and GLI Jetta trim levels have the updated MIB 3 tech system. The MIB 3 system update allows for wireless charging and phone mirroring.

In terms of performance tech, the Sport trim has an updated brake-based torque vectoring that allows Van Horn drivers to do some more off-road activity. The IQ drive suite is included in the active/passive safety system with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, stop-and-go adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist and automated highway lane-holding.

2022 VW Jetta Changes: Engine

The midcycle refresh has included a bit of an engine update to the 1.5-liter EA211 engine. With this engine you can achieve 158 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque for your Van Horn rides. One of the most exciting aspects of this for Las Cruces, NM drivers may be the impeccable EPA-estimated fuel economy at 29 and 31 mpg in the city and between 40 and 43 mpg on the highway*.
